What we collect

  • Enquiries: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email, the shipment details you give us (route, contents, weight, timing) and your message, when you use our website forms, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, email or phone.
  • Bookings: sender and receiver names, addresses, phone numbers and identity document details (for example passport or Bangladesh NID numbers) that airlines and customs authorities require for air cargo; a description and value of the goods; payment records.
  • Website use: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited). We do not run advertising trackers on this site. Embedded Google Maps and links to WhatsApp, Facebook and Google set their own cookies under their own policies.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • To answer your enquiry and give you a quotation — our legitimate interest in responding to you, and steps taken at your request before a contract.
  • To perform the shipment you book: airline booking, air waybills, export and import declarations, security screening, delivery — performance of our contract with you and our legal obligations under customs, aviation security and anti-money-laundering rules.
  • To keep accounting and tax records — legal obligation.
  • To send you service messages about your shipment (for example flight and collection updates) — performance of the contract.
  • To send occasional offers or news by WhatsApp, email or social messaging — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying STOP or contacting us.

Who we share it with

Only as needed to provide the service: airlines and their cargo handling agents; security screening and haulage contractors; UK and Bangladesh customs and government authorities; our appointed agent in Bangladesh for clearance and delivery; courier carriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS, DPD, Parcelforce) for parcel services; our website host, form and email providers; and Meta Platforms when you contact us via WhatsApp or Messenger. Shipment data is transferred to Bangladesh because that is where the goods are delivered; we share only what the airline, customs authority or agent requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings: up to 12 months. Booking, air waybill and invoice records: 6 years after the end of the financial year, as required for tax and to handle claims. Marketing consents: until you withdraw them.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent for marketing at any time. Email sales@eastendlogistics.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

Website enquiries are stored in our website’s secure admin area and emailed to our sales team; access is limited to staff who need it. Identity document details are used only for airline and customs documentation.
